Cell Studios is the DBA of Rusty Kinnunen, a visual artist / designer living and working in Taylors, SC.
Rusty has always had an insatiable love of all forms of visual expression, and this has led him to be creative in many different artistic media. He thrives on learning new things, developing his skills and getting the job done. He completed two full undergraduate studio art programs at Masschusetts College of Art in Boston, and graduated with honors in 2004, with a BFA dual-concentration in Painting and Film/Video. He founded Cell Studios in 2007, and has provided a wide variety of client-oriented services, from logo, print, and web design, to architectural illustration, photography, and video production.
In his artwork, Rusty strives for authenticity and a level of creative mystery that will intrigue and involve his viewers, but he also has a desire to do more with his creative work. This has involved many humanitarian projects over the years. From September 2005 to September 2006, he and his wife Ingrid moved to a small village in Russia to work at an orphanage as art instructors and mentors. He is actively involved with his church, using his art skills to illustrate bible stories for children on a weekly basis in Kid’s Church. In 2008, he founded Uptogood, Inc., a non-profit art company that creates and sells artist designed merchandise to benefit humanitarian causes.
