These illustrations are performance drawings and paintings that I have done in sunday school and vacation bible school settings to illustrate bible stories as the youth leader tells them. In general, they are spontaneously composed in response to the story in a short period of time, usually about 10 minutes. The paintings were done in summer camp settings, and are similarly composed ad hoc, but take a little longer, about 20-30 minutes. They were done as volunteer work at The Vine Community Church in Taylors, South Carolina, from early 2007 to the present. The drawings and paintings are approx. 24"x 36" inches.
